We are experienced in all aspects of Rating Practice specialising in the valuation of the more complex chemical and industrial plants. Advice on all types of commercial property can be provided including appeal processing, negotiation with the VOA and Billing Authorities, appearances at Valuation and Lands Tribunals where required and detailed advice on methods of reducing rates liability.
Phillip has over 45 years’ experience in this field including service in the VOA, Local Government, National Industry, Private Practice and a major PLC. From 2000 he has practiced on his own representing a variety of clients. His son James joined the company in 2010.
The Process
STEP 1
Ensuring the entry in the Rating List correctly reflects the value of the property.
STEP 3
Indentify savings by forensic analysis of the VOA valuation in the Rating List.
STEP 2
Verification of current annual rates bills, advising on any applicable reliefs.
STEP 4
Prepare, submit and negotiate a CCA application with the VOA
